Through its Global Interactive Gaming Limited marketing and sales subsidiary, ISWI signed an agreement in May that allowed Sol (NV) Limited, a sister company of Sunderlands Online Limited, to utilize an integrated version of its sports wagering product. In addition to operating its own gaming website at Sunderlands.co.uk, the Maltese bookmaker also provides white-label agreements to betting shops throughout Europe through Curacao-licensed Sol.
ISWI revealed that live wagering utilizing its SportXction product had now commenced in Italy with expansion expected soon in betting shops in Greece and Cyprus.
The agreement is for an initial 18-month period and will also see the SportXction play-by-play sportsbetting system incorporated into Sunderlands’ website with a launch date scheduled for later this year subject to receiving the necessary approvals. Sunderlands had not offered customers live wagering until now and the agreement calls for GIG to be its primary in-running betting provider, providing it with a share of the monthly wagering revenues, subject to certain monthly minimum fees.
ISWI stated that its original agreement had called for the initial implementation of an enhanced version of its stand-alone system followed by the eventual migration to its integrated product. This plan has since been modified to consist of a phased rollout of only the firm’s newer, integrated product.
