Red Hawk Casino named VP of Information Technology

(US).- Red Hawk Casino announced that John Filippe has been appointed Vice President of Information Technology. Filippe has more than 16 years of experience in the information technology field and has established operations for 26 casinos.


ilippe comes to Red Hawk Casino from the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, where he served as director of information technology. During his tenure, he instituted a system to support player tracking operations and provided technology for the opening of a new table games area.

"His wealth of knowledge and experience opening and managing IT operations for a number of casinos will be instrumental to the successful opening of Red Hawk Casino later this year."

"Red Hawk Casino will offer its customers a gaming experience unlike any other in Northern California," said John Filippe. "The IT team will leverage the casino’s breadth of technology to enhance the customer experience and ensure the seamless execution of Red Hawk Casino’s day-to-day operations."

Prior to joining the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Mr. Filippe held senior level positions with Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino in Coarsegold, Calif. and Bally Gaming and Systems in Sparks, Nev. During this time, he directed the installation of new computer systems and was responsible for the analysis, maintenance and upgrades of slot data systems for more than 80 casinos.

He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Operations Management from American InterContinental University.

Red Hawk Casino is owned by the Shingle Springs Tribal Gaming Authority, an instrumentality of the Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians. It is scheduled to open in December 2008 near Placerville, California. The project is being managed by Lakes Entertainment and will blend a full complement of gaming excitement with the natural beauty of Northern California. Once complete, Red Hawk Casino will feature 2,000 slot machines, 75 table games, six restaurants, four bars, and lighted, covered parking.
