The new brand was launched last week at Madrid gaming event

Betbull and bwin joint venture granted Madrid Sports betting license

(Spain).- Betbull bwin España, the Spanish joint venture company formed last year between Betbull and bwin Interactive Entertainment, has finally secured a retail betting license in the province of Madrid.

etbull bwin España (BBE) will now commence a rollout of branded stores and third-party points of sale under the w1nners brand. The new brand was launched last week at the Madrid gaming show, where w1nners demonstrated the betting products and services that will be offered in retail units, including betting on live sports.

BBE has already established a headquarters in Madrid from where all administration and bookmaking services will be provided, and where a management team has been developed over the last six months in preparation for the planned openings.

Commenting on the announcement, Simon Bold, director of Betbull, said: "We are happy to announce the grant of our retail license in Madrid, the company has worked hard to fulfill the requirements of the Madrid Licensing Authority and now feels confident to apply for licenses in other Provinces as and when legislation permits.

"We see the Spanish market as the most promising European opportunity and will concentrate our resources in this jurisdiction, whilst maintaining a dominant position in the German retail environment. Betbull is in good shape and reported a positive set of figures in the second quarter, over the last year we have built a strong team in Spain and developed a retail concept which we believe will be successful in the Province of Madrid and throughout the country as a whole – we are looking forward to the opportunity and challenge that this license grant offers."
