Les Ashton-Smith, Heber's newly appointed MD, is poised to move the company forward, applying a major focus on innovation, to ensure Heber continue to offer their customers the most cutting-edge new products.

Les Ashton-Smith commented: “Our business in terms of new product development is firing on all cylinders and we’re moving aggressively to deliver the best possible value to our customers. We see tremendous opportunity in the global gaming industry and we have a clear strategy for investing in success today and growth in the future.”

As part of its revamped strategy, Heber will be concentrating on greater international reach by attending more shows than ever before, including G2E 2008 in the US, the International Gaming Expo 2009 in London and the Indian Gaming Expo 2009 in the US.

Additionally, Heber has invested in new commercial areas; they have recently launched a wholly owned subsidiary business opportunity based on bespoke electronic control systems, for the consumer, commercial and industrial markets. This is a natural extension of the work Heber has been involved with in the gaming arena.

“We’ve been powering the global gaming industry for 25 years,” Les Ashton-Smith said. “The teams at Heber are phenomenally talented people. But now is the time to build on our past successes, look to the future and seize the major new opportunities we see ahead.”
