Sinai is its first "native" licensee on its existing Italian poker network

Playtech signed a deal with Italian company Sinai

(UK / Italy).- Gambling software provider Playtech has agreed a poker agreement with Snai, which runs a network of 6,000 betting shops in Italy as well as an online sports book.


sle of Man based Playtech currently provides software for clients including bet365 and casinos like Casino Tropez and Club Dice Casino. Sinai is Playtech's first “native” licensee on its existing Italian poker network.

Under the terms of the license agreement, Playtech provides Snai with its entire portfolio of market leading poker games in tournament form. At present, the software is downloadable in a ’play for fun’ mode, which provides players with the opportunity to improve their strategies and hone their skills for free. A "play for real money" mode is intended for launch in the fouth quarter of 2008.

Snai boss Maurizio Ughi said: “Our aim is to be the leading player in the Italian market for skill games, as we are for horse racing and sports betting.”

Both parties are wholly committed to meeting all the Italian regulatory standards. The product has been designed specifically to appeal to Italian players and customized to meet all the functional requirements of the local market, including matching language and currency.

The product has been fully integrated with Snai’s online betting system to ensure a seamless gaming experience for the Italian player.
