Kansas Lottery in talks with the Woodlands

(US).- The Kansas Lottery is continuing to talk with the Woodlands for a deal that would put slot machines in the Kansas City horse and dog track. At a press conference Tuesday, lottery officals say they are still in talks to put up to 800 slots at the track.

T

he Woodlands announced it was closing last week because it couldn’t make a deal with the state. Officials also talked about how the process of picking developers for four-state owned casinos is going.

Bob Kriehbel says though the economic downturn has made it tough for some of those vying for the contracts to stay in the game, the process itself is right on schedule.
