These openings span numerous departments including housekeeping, hotel operations, security, food and beverage, retail and casino operations. According to the Nevada State Department of Unemployment, statewide unemployment jumped to 6.4 percent in June 2008. June’s rate ranks as the state’s highest since February 1994.
