Casinos Poland runs seven casinos and has 50 % of the market

Olimpic about to acquire Casinos Poland

(Poland).- The company from Eastland may acquire from LOT flag carrier and PPL airport operator two thirds of the casino operator. It has a serious rival from Austria. Airport operator PPL and national airline LOT are negotiating to sell 66.6 percent of Casinos Poland.

he stake is evaluated at 29.7 million euros. The Polish entities are negotiating with several companies, including Olimpic Entertainment Group and Century Casinos, the owner of the remaining stake of Casinos Poland.

“Talks concern the final price and conditions. Today, the casino is not only its assets but also its brand, market share, buildings, especially the Marriott hotel in Warsaw plus its license”, a person engaged in negotiations said.

Casinos Poland runs seven casinos and has 50 percent of the market. Olympic Entertainment Group (OEG) listed in Tallin and Warsaw has the biggest chances for the acquisition, unofficial sources say.

OEG has the greatest chances of concluding the transaction, according to unofficial information. Relevant documents were delivered to PPL, LOT and three ministries. “The company has said it is interested in the stake of Casinos Poland from PPL and LOT”, Cezary Gizka, Olympic Casino Poland, OEG's subsidiary CEO said.
