The permission to go live is still subject to AGCC's approval

Genting Stanley obtains Alderney license

(UK).- Giant Malaysian gambling group Genting International has announced that its Genting Stanley Alderney Ltd (GSAL) subsidiary has received an online gaming licence from the Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC).

The permission to go live is still subject to AGCC's approval of the internal control system and the gambling equipment,” read a statement from Genting Stanley. “GSAL anticipates that its online gaming business would commence during the later part of the second quarter of 2008.”

The license from the British Channel Island follows the firm receiving approval in January from the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited to conduct online gaming operations in Alderney and it stated that further details would be made available in ‘due course'.
