It increments its ebida a 37,5%

Cirsa keeps on improving its results in the third quarter

(Spain).- Cirsa had an income of 1.2 billion euros during the first nine months of the year, and an operational benefit of 126.6 million euros, with an increment of 19.5 % regarding the same period of 2006.

n the third quarter, Cirsa had a turnover of 409.9 million euros, with an ebitda of 46.6 million, which represents an increment of 37.5% compared to the same quarter last year. In general, all the business gambling divisions had a good performance, both in the country and internationally.

With regards to the slots division, the increment of the revenue had to do with an improvement in costs, specially due to a better commercial efficiency. The number of machines in Italy has more than 5,000 units.

Besides, the casino division incorporates Colombia, which represents to add a portfolio of a total of 21 new casinos with 110 table games and 2,250 machines. The rest of the casinos has had a good performance, specially in Latin America, which had a strong growth.

Besides, in Spain, the bingo division could ease the impact of the restrictions from tabacco legislation with the positive evolution of electronic bingo and the interconnection of the halls. On the other hand, Mexico keeps on growing and 20 bingo halls are planned to be operating by the end of the year in the country.

The result of the B2B division is better, mainly due to the great acceptance of their new machine models in the market. There are also improvements in the efficience of the process, the integration if the industrial and interactive area and the good performance of the business.

With these results, Cirsa consolidates even more the positive evolution of its businesses. It reaffirms its position as leader in the different markets in which it operates, Spain, Italy and specially Latin America, where, on top of being the first casino operator, it had clear growth perspectives.
