A

s Supervisor Frank Leach was absent, the officials agreed to wait until all five members are present for the vote, which has been set for the November 26 meeting.

In e-mails sent to media and each supervisor, Leach said he had medical appointments. He also accused Supervisors John McKay and Manly Barton of attacking him and lying about alleged violations of the state’s open meetings law.

The day before statewide elections November 6, Leach said he and three other supervisors had visited Choctaw resorts and held illegal talks with former Choctaw Chief Phillip Martin before the tribe made public its intention to build a gaming resort on its property in Ocean Springs.
