The IGE Conference delivered a whole range of gambling and gaming attractions for delegates and visitors; over 30 companies were booked on the exhibitors list. The event has been born at an opportune moment with Italian gaming and gambling markets opening up after the recent Placanica ruling in the European Court of Justice. The ruling opens the way for a number of online and land based operators from outside Italy who can now compete within the country's domestic business.

The IGE represents an event were land based and online can network with each other and learn the latest in legislational developments effecting there respective markets, as it hosts two separate conferences simultaneously for both markets.

These two day comprehensive conference programmes had expert speakers, that involve Italian Government ministers & key representatives from leading European and International Casino Operations as well as leading experts in gaming regulation.

Delegates at the IGE conference at Lake Como were offered a highly participative programme, focusing on different solutions on how to tackle the complex legal and regulatory hurdles. A formidable list of experts filled a highly participative programme which also included a full day customized workshop and master class.

An important and most interesting contribution at the IGE 2007 was given by the Francesco Tolotti, MD and VP of the financial commission of the Italian Lower House, who opened the IGE conference and gave his government's views on possible future regulatory reform of the Italian Gambling Legislation.

Jan Jones, Senior VP of Harrah's Entertainment presented, to a packed hall, her topic on how to bring a successful integrated resort formula to Europe where Harrah's intends investing billions in themed casinos and leisure resorts.

Many other illustrious speakers passed on the microphone, including Steve Karoul, CEO Euro Asia Consulting and former president of marketing Foxwoods USA, John Willis, Aristocrat Leisure, Kurt Quartier, IGT Europe, Nick Hawkins former shadow gambling minister UK, Dennis Conrad Raving Consulting USA, Graham Wood, Independent Betting and Gaming Consultant UK., David Kranes, Casino Floor Design Specialist USA., Steve Browne, Customer Care & Service Specialist USA, Bas Baarbé Software manager Gaming Support & Slot Machine Analyze specialist NL, Lembit Loo, Director Olympic Entertainment Estonia, Marc Greenawalt, COO MEI Group USA.

Besides the impressive speaker line up a number of Italian top lawyers gave their opinion on future developments concerning Italy's liberalizing gaming regulations.
