The event marks the completion of the new hotel tower’s steel shell and achievement of its maximum height, just two years after the highly successful casino resort opened.

The new tower is nine stories tall and features 250 new guestrooms and suites, which will increase the property’s total guestrooms to approximately 1,000.

The new tower includes ten luxury garden suites with private terraces, a VIP lounge, VIP lobby and VIP elevator providing private access to the tower’s new luxury second floor suites. It is connected to the existing 26-story hotel structure but features separate elevator access.

The suites will feature many of the same high-end amenities found in the L’Auberge du Lac villas, such as luxurious bathrooms, custom designer furnishings and in-room bars. The suites range in size from 750 to more than 130 thousand sqm in size.

Five of the ground floor suites will feature private gardens fronting on an expanded pool area; five will feature outdoor "Florida rooms." All of the new high-end first floor suites will have quick-fill two-person outdoor bathtubs carved from individual blocks of Italian travertine.

The project also includes the addition of several unique retail outlets and the expansion of several existing outlets, which will more than double the retail offerings at L’Auberge du Lac. Nouveau, which features a full line of Tommy Bahama brand merchandise for men including apparel, accessories and fragrances, will move to a new location across from Ambalo jewelry to feature more than 195 thousand sqm of unique men’s offerings.

New retail outlets include a confectionary featuring gelato, pastries, candies; a trendy pet boutique and a high- end lingerie store. The arcade will reopen across from Le Cafe with an expanded 260 thousand sqm of the latest in interactive video equipment and traditional arcade games to attract children.

"We are excited to reach this construction milestone as we continue our progress toward an on-schedule and on-budget opening in the fourth quarter of this year," said Daniel R. Lee, Chairman and CEO of Pinnacle Entertainment. "The new rooms and retail offerings will further enhance Lake Charles as a destination resort of choice on the Gulf Coast."
