nce again, Lima is at the center of the scene for the gaming industry, with the arrival of Peru Gaming Show 2018, an event that will receive the most important businessmen, executives, regulators and operators of the gaming industry in Latin America.

The potential passing of a law that regulates sports betting and online gaming in Peru has led to great expectations throughout the gaming industry, and this traditional show, taking place at the Jockey Exhibition Center in the city of Lima, will reflect these expectations.

The bill, proposed by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur), would offer the regional market one of the most complete and advanced regulatory frames of the continent; allowing Peru to become the second Latin American country to regulate the activity.

"Peru will be the focus of the world, becoming a model for the development of an activity that will shine with its own light. Peru Gaming Show (PGS) 2018 will bring together the most recognized sports betting and online gaming companies, which will offer their innovative platforms," said from Affiliated Marketing Group (AMG), organizer of the fair.

It is worth mentioning that Peru has a mature gaming market, with over 700 gaming parlors and 75,000 slot machines in operation. This will be reflected in the more than 50 local and international companies sprawling across the exhibition area, which opens its doors at 2:00 pm.

"We have worked hard to ensure excellent representation of international suppliers and assistance from operators in Peru, including the provinces, and all other Latin American countries. Starting today, the largest suppliers of slots, as well as renowned online gaming and sports betting operators will participate of the event, which makes us very proud," said Joe Lopez, CEO of AMG.

According to the information provided by its organizers, authorities of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism of Peru will inaugurate a new cycle of conferences in Lima at 10 am, followed by Manuel San Román Benavente, General Director of Casino Games and Mincetur Slot Machines, who will offer a summary of the activities and results obtained by the unit he manages.

Additionally, there will be lectures drawing heavily on the importance and benefits of the regulation and certification of gambling products, as well as anti-money laundering measures. The show will come to a conclusion with a roundtable on sports regulation and online gambling in the country.

In this way, a new edition of Peru Gaming Show will present "the strengths of the Peruvian market", as its organizers assured. "The regulatory framework and the implementation of an online connection system for almost 80,000 slot machines with a central server managed by the regulator make Peru the focus of attention and a role model for other countries in the region," they concluded.
