This week, the operator has disclosed a rendering showing a renovated valet entrance on Virginia Avenue, with a golden facade and towering red guitar. The guitar replaces the fountains that were installed prior to the opening of the Trump Taj Mahal in 1990, and the gold background replaces the iconic Indian-themed windows and large TRUMP sign that greeted guests until the casino’s closing in 2016.
The Hard Rock is scheduled to open by Memorial Day of this year following over $500 million in renovations to the entire building.
Hard Rock and investors Jack Morris and Joe Jingoli are spending about $500 million to renovate it. The company expects the project to generate more than 1,000 construction jobs and 3,000 permanent jobs. When it opens, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City will offer a range of gaming opportunities with plans calling for 2400 slots and 130 table games, according to its website.
