Lotteriinspektionen governance confirmed that Rosenberg- who has acted as internal Head of Operations- will takeover leadership of the institution on May 15.

Rosenberg replaces Haken Hallstedt as Director General, who left the regulatory body in December 2016 as Lotteriinspektionen redrafted its first national gambling review.

Prior to her time with the regulator, Rosenberg held a number of management positions with the Energimyndigheten Swedish energy agency, most recently general counsel.

Swedish gambling stakeholders will look to push any mandate for Swedish gambling reform in 2017, aware of upcoming National Elections in 2018.

Sweden’s gambling regulator Lotteriinspektionen recommend a 18% tax charge for online gambling verticals
