“These are solid numbers that show that casinos are attracting more business and increasing their market,” said Matthew B. Levinson, chairman and CEO of the state Casino Control Commission. So far this year, total gaming win at the seven casinos is up 11.1 percent, with six of the current seven operators outperforming last year.”

The overall industry gaming total win for the month was USD 217.7M compared with USD 213.9M the year before, a 1.8% increase.

“June’s report reflects continuing overall financial stability within the industry and increasing strength for internet gaming operations,” said David Rebuck, director of the state Division of Gaming Enforcement. “Both factors are positive indicators of the Atlantic City casino industry’s ability to successfully perform in an extremely competitive regional marketplace.”

If you take the Taj Mahal out of the equation, the city’s seven remaining casinos saw their revenue increase by 10.8 percent.
