After receiving final approval from regulator Coljuegos, Corredor Empresarial has become the second licensed operator to go live in the South American country.

According to an official statement released this week by Coljuegos, the local gaming authority expects to announce the issuing of new online gaming licenses in the upcoming days.

Commenting on the announcement, Coljuegos President, Juan B. Pérez Hidalgo, said: "With this decision we seek to increase our financial resources so we can fund social causes such as public health. We also believe it is crucial to expand our product offering with innovative tools that allow us to be at the forefront of the fastest-growing gaming industry."

Corredor Empresarial received a type 1 license, which allows the company to operate online slots games, roulettes and sports betting.

The license was granted for a five-year period and is valued at an estimated USD 1.12M.

Pérez Hidalgo pointed out that Colombia was the first South American country to regulate online gambling, awakening the interest of various international operators.
