(US).- Former CEO of Full Tilt Poker pleaded guilty on Monday to violating US anti-Internet gambling laws, but he avoided prison time due to his failing health. Raymond Bitar is suffering from "severe heart failure," Assistant US Attorney Arlo Devlin-Brown said at a federal court hearing in Manhattan.

(US).- A calendar shift that moved the lucrative Chinese New Year holiday into February sent Nevada gaming revenues soaring, contributing to the largest single-month total ever for the Strip. Nevada casinos collected us$ 1.073 billion in gaming revenues, a 15.1 % increase compared with the same month a year ago according to figures released by the Gaming Control Board.
