(Spain).- Spanish gaming firm Codere has published its consolidated financial results for 2012 showing that it experienced a 21.1 % increase year-on-year in sales to 1.66 billion euros helped by strong growth in Mexico. However, its 2012 net income was negative with a loss of 104.6 million euros due to asset impairment in Spain amounting to 75.2 million euros.

(Russia).- The police have closed 36 illegal casinos in Moscow and the Moscow Region, seizing almost 500 gambling machines, the Interior Ministry's press center has reported. The police have found several dozen addresses where gambling clubs operated under the guise of betting houses, restaurants and Internet cafes, and also apartments where illegal poker and other games were organized.
