(India).- Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar vowed to eliminate offshore casinos from the state's waterfronts before he completes his tenure, in four years. "By the time I complete four years, there will be no casino boat in Goa's waters," Parrikar said, adding that he might require one more year to complete get them out if there are any licensing obligations.

(Singapore).- Singapore authorities will put in place a casino visit limit scheme to cap the number of visits a financially vulnerable resident can make to the country's two casinos. The limit on the citizens and permanent residents who are financially vulnerable will come into effect from June 1, local media informed.

(Macau).- The Court of Second Instance rejected Las Vegas Sands’s attempts to register “Cotai Strip CotaiExpo” and “Cotai Strip CotaiArena” as trademarks. Local newspaper Jornal Tribuna de Macau quoted two judgments that say both the expressions ‘Cotai’ and ‘Cotai strip’ stand for a specific area of the city where gaming, hotel and entertainment activities are being developed.
