(Belgium).- The European Casino Association (ECA) announced that its Chairman, Ron Goudsmit, received an honorary award for his Outstanding Service to the Landbased Casino Industry. Goudsmit has been leading the ECA for more than seven years, representing the values and positions of the industry worldwide and Europe-wide.

He has done a remarkable work in liaising between policy makers, national industry experts, and European decision-makers, always thinking ahead, openly and pro-actively.
He was given this award by Tracy Damestani, Director of the National Casino Industry Forum (NCiF), during the inaugural Totally Gaming Awards 2012 held on 23 January, at 8 Northumberland Avenue, This was the evening before the well-known complete gaming exhibition ICE began.
Organised by Clarion Gaming Events the inaugural Totally Gaming Awards were a huge success, launching a new awards programme, designed for the industry, and by the industry. The Totally Gaming Awards have been designed and developed to recognise and reward innovation, as well as great products and services, from across the breadth of the industry.
